The America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass is your ticket to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites across the country. A pass covers entrance, standard amenity fees and day use fees for a driver and all passengers in a personal vehicle at per vehicle fee areas (or up to four adults at sites that charge per person). Children age 15 or under are admitted free.
Important Information About Your Park Pass
Please note that the Park Pass is not available for immediate download or printing. A physical pass will be issued through the mail. Electronic scanned images of your pass are never valid for use.
You will receive an Annual America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass, valid for 1 year from the month of purchase.
Each Annual Pass admits:
- Pass owner/s and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per-vehicle fee areas
- Pass owner + 3 adults (not to exceed 4 adults total) where per-person fees are charged
- Children under 16 are always admitted free
The pass will be shipped without a name on it. It becomes valid once signed by the pass owner or recipient if it’s a gift. One pass can be signed by two main pass owners, allowing shared ownership with family or friends.
The pass includes entrance fees for one personal vehicle, including rentals and RVs/motorhomes. If both pass owners are traveling on separate motorcycles, they are both covered as well.
The pass is non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Holders of the US Park Pass recognize and accept that visiting any recreational sites is voluntary and entirely at their own risk. Your Annual Pass covers Entrance Fees or Standard Amenity Fees at sites managed by USDA FS, NPS, USFWS, BLM, and Reclamation. The Annual Pass offered on this website is just one of several pass options available.
If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident age 62 or older, or have a permanent disability, you may qualify for other passes. If you have questions, contact your local Federal recreation site, or visit Recreation.gov for more information.
The pass is valid for one full year from the month of purchase. It provides entrance or access to the Pass owner and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle at federally operated recreation sites across the country. It covers the Pass owner and three (3) accompanying adults age 16 and older at sites where per-person entrance fees are charged. No entry fee is required for children 15 and under. Photo identification may be required to verify ownership.
Fees vary widely across the thousands of Federal Recreation sites. Please contact specific sites directly for information on what is or is not covered.

In the event that a purchased pass is not received prior to your departure to visit Federal Lands, unsigned and unused passes can be returned for a refund of the pass price ($80). The refund amount does not include the cost of shipping and handling or any additional fees. Refunds issued for any other reason are at the sole discretion of US Park Pass and will incur a fee of no less than $10, subtracted from your refund amount.
